lyrics

God gave him a chance, first he opened da door, then he opened his hands,
then he opened his eyes, and da problems began yeah da problems began, yeah da problems began

Only 7yrs old, seen a bullet with wings, fly a nigga's soul down deep into a coffin its seems, he ain't never recover, in da hall of Jehovah, he was bowing his head, and hoping dem angels hold 'em,
one day while he played in front of his yard, dope boy on the avenue jumped in black Chevy parked, in da very driveway he seen a life that fell apart, revving up da engine and somehow by grace of God, hanging out da window missed every shot that he sparked,

God gave him a chance, first he opened da door, then he opened his hands,
then he opened his eyes, and da problems began yeah da problems began, yeah da problems began

Just a troubled lil nigga, turned to troubled young man, finally growed up then right back in trouble again,
thought he had sowed up this trauma that's cycling,
attraction to harlots dats popping pussy like Vicodin,
willing to risk it all cause void live inside of him,
behavior of deviance cause nothing excited him,
if he could get 24 bitches inside of 24 hours they'd probably call him da man the attention he would devour no doubt,
lacking accomplishments,
blaming his mama for never giving him compliments,
his showy bravado was really shallow in confidence,
always Carpe diem until you facing the consequence,
But God gave him a chance, first he opened da door, then he opened his hands,
eyes opened but he ain't seeing da consequence, so whenever problems begin assured they ain't never gone end, they ain't never gone end,

He afraid, rather remain a slave,
I'm just being me, is da mantra he sang, avoid being vulnerable, just endure da pain, scared who'd he become after making da change, see freedom ain't easy even hard to maintain that's why he bow down to massa and learned to deal with da shame, rather make excuses than just to simply refrain, he don't challenge da norm never breaking da chain

They always told me never go down that path,
it'll make your link weak and your chain never last,
every person that Ive known that done been thru therapy,
is still fucked up, I think it's clear to see,
ain't no comparing me, I can do bad on my own apparently,
if come to needing some help, I guess I'll be helping myself
